Felixstow Community School is truly an extraordinary place of learning. Our talented and dedicated staff provides each student with rigorous care, challenge and support academically, socially and emotionally.
At Felixstow I see our child developing his ability to think, understand, relate and create; not just to know and do. He has a well tailored program that is delivered based on his needs and talents, not his age. The school offers great support for individual needs as well as appropriate challenge to stretch capabilities. Not just for the children, but for everyone : familes and staff included. We are all progressing and growing every term, and for this I am truly grateful".
"Felixstow Community School is not the same as it was when I attended the R-7 Family Unit in the 1980s. It is better. In 1984, there was a radical approach to learning we called "having a go". In 2018 it is now called a "growth mindset", and it's still at the core of the school's ethos. FCS has supported the growth not only of our child but of our whole family. The chance for each of us to have a go ... our son in his learning, us in school governance and collaborating in our child's learning plan...is now backed with substantial support from a much larger, well resourced and networked staff team, including excellent specialists in wellbeing & learning needs."
